After a semester of development and preproduction, I have overhauled a major aspect of my junior film: I have hacked off my intended music.
Seeing as I was unable to obtain the rights to the music that I wanted to use, I did a total re-haul of my film. I chopped off a main character and redesigned the introduction and overall feel of the film. Instead of the film being at night, it is now in the day, just a colorless day. The film should end up 30 seconds shorter, but be much clearer.
And I am most happy to be collaborating with a good friend, Aaron Loftis, and his band Shapes & Colors, to fill the the musical void in my film.
Full steam ahead now.
